Description of the Artwork “SUNSET PORTRUSH STRAND”

An evening's stroll on Portrush Strand transforms into a meditative journey in this expressive canvas. The artist, inspired by the sublime beauty of the coast, translates the tranquility of the sea, the softness of the sand, and the fleeting moments of the sunset into an awe-inspiring landscape. As the sun dips below the horizon, the sky erupts in a palette of warm colors, mirrored by the cool blues of the sea and the earthy tones of the beach. This artwork invites viewers to lose themselves in the scenic beauty of the landscape, evoking feelings of serenity, nostalgia, and an irresistible urge to travel and explore.

I like to create what I call "HAPPY PAINTINGS " and this portfolioincludes a selection of my favourite paintings. I was born in Belfast, N. Ireland and have recently retired having spent over 40 years as a Director / Partner in the Construction Consultancy Sector as a Project Manager / Cost Manager on such projects as Titanic Signature Museum, South West Hospital and Belfast Metropolitan College to name a few. I am self taught and use oil on canvas or board and have a preference for impressionism style of art and intend to produce more paintings utilising seascapes especially beaches, landscapes, buildings including infrastructures such as bridges and abstract. My aim for the future is to produce more and better "Happy Paintings " going forward.
