This captivating canvas by Geoff Warke brings the fragrant beauty of French lavender fields to life with the warm embrace of summer. Drawing on the principles of Impressionism, the painter weaves together texture, color, and light to present a landscape that is both a representation and an emotion. Through every brushstroke, the vibrant lavender fields extend beyond the canvas, inviting the viewer into a dreamy, summer-scented idyll. The old-world charm is reimagined through modern eyes, making this painting a timeless decoration that captures the essence of summer in France.
I like to create what I call "HAPPY PAINTINGS " and this portfolioincludes a selection of my favourite paintings. I was born in Belfast, N. Ireland and have recently retired having spent over 40 years as a Director / Partner in the Construction Consultancy Sector as a Project Manager / Cost Manager on such projects as Titanic Signature Museum, South West Hospital and Belfast Metropolitan College to name a few. I am self taught and use oil on canvas or board and have a preference for impressionism style of art and intend to produce more paintings utilising seascapes especially beaches, landscapes, buildings including infrastructures such as bridges and abstract. My aim for the future is to produce more and better "Happy Paintings " going forward.
