This watercolor captures a sweeping view of Denmark's tranquil dunes, with the Lingvig Lighthouse standing as a silent guardian over the rugged coast. The artist, Svitlana Yanyeva, breathes life into the scene with meticulous strokes that evoke the cool, crisp air of Scandinavia's north. The rural landscape unfolds under a seemingly infinite sky, compelling the onlooker to bask in the realization of nature's splendor. The lighthouse, not only an architectural marvel but also a symbol of guidance, anchors the work in a realm of realism imbued with a sense of hope and resilience.
I am an artist from Ukraine. I was born in 1982 in Zhytomyr. I love to draw since childhood. I have two higher educations. In 2003 I received a bachelor's degree in pedagogy. At the university I studied the course of teaching painting to children. Later, I received a master's degree in social psychology. I started painting with watercolors at the beginning of 2020 and a new world has opened up for me. For more than three years I have been successfully selling my illustrations and paintings. For me watercolor is the perfect medium. I love the feeling when the brush touches the paper and the mixture of colors creates the shape of the objects. My favorite subjects are seascapes, botanical illustration, smaller details of the world around (fragments, still life), landscape. I mainly work with watercolor. I am inspired by nature and travels.
