Description of the Artwork “Breathing”
Breathing is a work created with washed colors, so that the color that remains underneath comes to light... It is a way of breathing. The work is reminiscent of a seascape, diffuse and faded that contrasts with the pronounced texture. The texture helps give strength to the painting, giving it energy, giving the sensation of being able to breathe in wide gasps, analogous to the movement of large brush strokes. Blue is the color that attracts attention, it is the one that opens the ethereal and atmospheric space.

“The reason is completely secondary for me; what I want to represent is what exists between me and the motif.” (Claude Monet) Trained in Art History and passionate about Fine Arts. From a very young age I enjoyed painting and although my career was in other areas, I remain faithful to my passion. I love experimenting with colors and textures. I work on canvas (mainly), using mixed media or on watercolor paper. With painting, every day there is a new creation and the abstract impressionist theme is what inspires me the most, leaving me free to compose, trying to convey emotion with each brushstroke. In general, my work is characterized by the chromatic variety and the depth of the texture. I try to pick up the color of Venetian painting, English, German, Russian romanticism... Impressionism and abstraction. It is an idea, a memory, a wink... works that have marked me, adding my personal stamp. And sometimes, the color itself is what marks my inspiration. Having a project in mind, it ends in a totally different way than imagined: a line, a stain, a shape... My goal is to convey to the viewer the exclusive beauty of colors, combined in a thousand ways, expressing subtle sensations.
