Between 2001 and 2004, the artist produced a series of oil paintings on panel using as a motif the roof of Casa Milà, better known as La Pedrera, in Barcelona, one of the most emblematic works of the 20th century architectural genius. Antonio Gaudi. In this particular painting, the artist captures a house that stands majestically above a set of stairs, bathed in the warm light of the evening. The range of colors used in the work, dominated by warm tones, evokes a feeling of serenity and highlights the organic and sinuous beauty of the Gaudinian structure. The attention to detail and the way light and shadow play on the curved and textured surfaces demonstrate a deep appreciation for Gaudí's innovation and mastery, inviting the viewer to contemplate and rediscover the charms of this architectural gem from a perspective fresh and artistic.
