In “Overpass No. 1,” the artist presents us with a perspective of a wooden bridge that opens before our eyes in the landscape of the Tablas de Daimiel, a protected wetland in Ciudad Real, Spain. Through his particular interpretation, the colors of the painting deviate from reality to capture a more personal vision. The bridge emerges from the right and fades into the horizon as it turns to the left. A dense blanket of green vegetation suggests the presence of water, subtly reflected. The sky, with shades that degrade from yellow to ochre and warm blue, adds a calm atmosphere. The chromatic warmth of the painting invites peace and rest, encouraging us to explore the path of the bridge.
