Mercedes Gordo takes us to a winter lake, where the dense fog hugs the trees and hides lazy mysteries in its bosom. Each brushstroke in this work of figurative art is a declaration of intentions, a visual poem that plays with the absence of color to enhance the presence of silence and contemplation. The vision of the birds on the rock, in this world of diffuse shadows, dialogues with eternity and transmits an almost tangible peace, inviting the viewer to stop and lose themselves in the infinity of the moment.
Painting is my form of communication that allows me to isolate myself from reality in a positive way. Through painting I can express emotions and feelings that are not so easy for me to communicate in any other way. Painting a picture gives me the opportunity to bring out a large part of my most sensitive interior and show my own vision of the world.
