In this evocative depiction of the Irish countryside, the artist transports the observer to the heart of Northern Ireland's Mourne Mountains on a spring morning. The interplay of light and shadow, combined with the rich palette of greens and blues, brings to life the lush, tranquil landscapes. Each brushstroke reflects the artist's deep connection to the natural world, offering a glimpse into the serene, untamed beauty of rural Ireland. This piece not only captures the scenery but also evokes the timeless spirit of Ireland, inviting the viewer to linger in the moment.
I like to create what I call "HAPPY PAINTINGS " and this portfolioincludes a selection of my favourite paintings. I was born in Belfast, N. Ireland and have recently retired having spent over 40 years as a Director / Partner in the Construction Consultancy Sector as a Project Manager / Cost Manager on such projects as Titanic Signature Museum, South West Hospital and Belfast Metropolitan College to name a few. I am self taught and use oil on canvas or board and have a preference for impressionism style of art and intend to produce more paintings utilising seascapes especially beaches, landscapes, buildings including infrastructures such as bridges and abstract. My aim for the future is to produce more and better "Happy Paintings " going forward.
