In this captivating work, artist Roser JB represents the duality of the human condition through an atmospheric landscape. Contrasts of light and shadow reflect the ups and downs of life, with brushstrokes ranging from energetic to delicate on a textured canvas. The rise of the horizon line to the right suggests resurgence and hope, evoking a feeling of renewal in the face of adversity. The color palette and texture provide a deep sense of dynamism and emotion.
“The reason is completely secondary for me; what I want to represent is what exists between me and the motif.” (Claude Monet) Trained in Art History and passionate about Fine Arts. From a very young age I enjoyed painting and although my career was in other areas, I remain faithful to my passion. I love experimenting with colors and textures. I work on canvas (mainly), using mixed media or on watercolor paper. With painting, every day there is a new creation and the abstract impressionist theme is what inspires me the most, leaving me free to compose, trying to convey emotion with each brushstroke. In general, my work is characterized by the chromatic variety and the depth of the texture. I try to pick up the color of Venetian painting, English, German, Russian romanticism... Impressionism and abstraction. It is an idea, a memory, a wink... works that have marked me, adding my personal stamp. And sometimes, the color itself is what marks my inspiration. Having a project in mind, it ends in a totally different way than imagined: a line, a stain, a shape... My goal is to convey to the viewer the exclusive beauty of colors, combined in a thousand ways, expressing subtle sensations.
