Description of the Artwork “Koti Tirtha”
The painting was painted after visiting the sacred lake Koti Tirtha in Gokarna (India). It is believed that bathing in it washes away all sins! Hindus also believe that the heart of Shiva is kept here. In the middle of the lake there is an island on which there is a Venkataraman temple with a Shiva linga. This city is associated with Shiva, one of the most important gods of the Indian pantheon. According to legends, this is where he was born and this is where his heart is kept - in the sacred lake Koti Tirtha. The lake is surrounded by colorful houses where only Brahmins live. They are the ones depicted in the picture. Every morning here begins with reading mantras, holding ceremonies, and ends with evening puja. This place is conducive to meditation, philosophical reflection, prayer, and being alone with yourself.

In my work, I reflect on the multidimensionality of space, the nature of light and sound, and explore the mysteries of the universe and unusual phenomena. I've always been fascinated by the unknown; that which lies beyond the perception of three-dimensional reality. The images in my paintings are filled with an atmosphere of mystery and numinity. Coming up with each of the compositions, I come into contact with the otherworldly, trying to lift the veil of secrets in order to get closer to the Source. I like to experiment with different materials and techniques. I create my works in such mediums as painting, graphics, audio-visual performance, installation.
