Description of the Artwork “Evening on Khortitsa Island”

The oil painting “Evening on the island of Khortitsa” was painted by me in my hometown of Zaporozhye, the painting depicts the rocky shore of the island of Khortitsa, and also shows how much the water has receded after the destruction of the Kakhovka dam by Russian troops. Where there used to be water is now shallow water and dry land. The coastline has changed, returned to the old channel, now the Dnieper is the same as it was 100 years ago. But it is still beautiful, and it will be so thousands of years after us. On this canvas I took the risk of capturing this eternal flow of the river and the beautiful banks, shrouded in evening charm. Painting in stock, delivery in a tube, stretcher included. Thank you for your attention! Sincerely, Zapotochny A.

About the artist

was born in the city of Zaporizhzhia, near the Dnipro, the city of heroes, the city of Cossacks, the center of freedom and independence. I started drawing since childhood, since childhood, as long as I can remember, I loved nature and the beauty of God's creation. I started painting professionally from the beginning of the war, made it my main job and thereby risked realizing my old dream, doing what I love most.
