The painting represents different atmospheric layers, from the warmest to the coldest (symbolized by reds and blues) interacting with energy and mixing, causing weather changes and storms (symbolized by the union of yellow and blue). For this, basic colors have been used on a white background, including paste to texturize the work, generating dynamism through brushstrokes as spontaneous as the atmosphere itself. In this way, an abstract, enveloping and turbulent sensation is created that fascinates. Made on canvas of 73 x 92 cm. Work selected for the VII Painting, Drawing and Engraving Contest. Organized by the Fundació Privada Mutua Catalana. Work chosen for real estate decoration by Home Hunting Barcelona and Patricia Canceló ArtGallery: https://kuula.co/share/collection/7JqSG?logo=-1&info=0&fs=1&vr=1&sd=1&initload=0&thumbs=1
“The reason is completely secondary for me; what I want to represent is what exists between me and the motif.” (Claude Monet) Trained in Art History and passionate about Fine Arts. From a very young age I enjoyed painting and although my career was in other areas, I remain faithful to my passion. I love experimenting with colors and textures. I work on canvas (mainly), using mixed media or on watercolor paper. With painting, every day there is a new creation and the abstract impressionist theme is what inspires me the most, leaving me free to compose, trying to convey emotion with each brushstroke. In general, my work is characterized by the chromatic variety and the depth of the texture. I try to pick up the color of Venetian painting, English, German, Russian romanticism... Impressionism and abstraction. It is an idea, a memory, a wink... works that have marked me, adding my personal stamp. And sometimes, the color itself is what marks my inspiration. Having a project in mind, it ends in a totally different way than imagined: a line, a stain, a shape... My goal is to convey to the viewer the exclusive beauty of colors, combined in a thousand ways, expressing subtle sensations.
