Mercedes Gordo invites us to lose our gaze in the soft mists that dance over the water, transporting us to a place where the trees emerge as silent witnesses of the nascent spring. Each brushstroke provides the landscape with a texture and color that reinforces reflection and light, creating an intimate link between the viewer and nature. The ability to play with light and shadows, as well as the reflections of the surrounding mountain, transforms this painting into a meditation on the tranquility and ephemeral beauty of the natural world.
Painting is my form of communication that allows me to isolate myself from reality in a positive way. Through painting I can express emotions and feelings that are not so easy for me to communicate in any other way. Painting a picture gives me the opportunity to bring out a large part of my most sensitive interior and show my own vision of the world.
