The painting was painted after the liberation of the Kyiv region from the Russian invaders, where the artist had been since the beginning of the war. Without light, without heat, under fire. I saw endless columns of enemy vehicles burning. Courage, strength, heroism of our defenders inspired the painting. How many hearts of Ukrainian soldiers have been laid on the altar of freedom so that dignity, will, and independence flourish in our souls! The fires will go out, the peaceful sky will light up, Ukraine will rise and win!
