In 'Dip into the Surreal,' Sonny Andersson takes the commonplace scenario of a relaxing bath and transforms it into an otherworldly experience. Initially inspired by a quirky request, Andersson's vision expanded into a surreal spa that houses more than just a tub. With legs emerging mysteriously from the tub and the inclusion of additional figures, the painting explores themes of relaxation, intimacy, and the surreal within the mundane corridors of home life. This piece invites viewers to question the boundaries of room, relaxation, and reality.
I was born and raised in Grimsås Tranemo municipality but since 2020 I live in Helsingborg Sweden Since I retired as an accountant in 2019, I can now devote myself to my painting. I now work mostly on commissioned paintings from digital photographs and passionately strive to create realistic paintings that only come from constantly improving my craft through continuous training and study. As a portrait painter, I use a traditional oil painting technique layer upon layer wet on wet that captures the feeling of joy in the oil painting process. What you get is a portrait created in the same way as portraits you would find in a museum and thus has lasting value. Is approved for F tax and VAT registered If you have an image that you would like to turn into a piece of art, please send me a message, I will be happy to explore the possibilities of creating something that I know you would really appreciate.
