The work "Eye" brings to light the disturbing reality of how fanaticism can shape and influence our lives. Through an oppressive atmosphere and the figure of a spectral being with a single vision, the work challenges the viewer to reflect on the importance of cultivating an open mind and seeking multiple perspectives. "Eye" reminds us that obsession with a single vision can lead us away from the truth and limit our ability to live in harmony with others. Element Analysis The Hazy Background (Wine, Red, Black and Copper): Background tones evoke intense and conflicting emotions. Wine and red refer to passion and fervor, while black symbolizes the unknown, fear and fanaticism. Copper adds a metallic touch, representing the rigidity of certain beliefs and the difficulty of seeing beyond them. Visual Effect: The composition creates a sensation of suffocation and intensity, with the smoky haze representing the lack of clarity and the difficulty of perceiving reality in a broad and objective
My name is Roberto and I am a visual artist. Otrebor has always been present within me, since the first days I perceived the world around me. He is the manifestation of that side that matured too soon, that observed reality with a different, deeper and, at times, darker look. Since I was a child, I have been drawn to horror films, to images that others would avoid. The B side of life, the shadows that go unnoticed, have always instilled something in me, like a silent call to explore what hides beyond the surface. My journey as an artist is not just an aesthetic quest, but an ongoing dive into the unresolved emotions and invisible landscapes of the psyche. Through Otrebor, I invite the viewer to face discomfort, embrace the complexity of existence, and find beauty where most see only darkness. Each work is a portal to this introspection — a chance to reveal the B side within us all. Otrebor's art is a reflection of this hidden side. Every brushstroke, every composition is an expression of this duality—the beauty found in darkness, the truth revealed in the deepest corners of the human soul. Through my art, I seek to confront and explore the unknown, the unspoken, what many prefer not to see. Otrebor is the mirror of an internal universe, where shadows are not feared, but accepted as an integral part of the human experience.
