Description of the Artwork “D Òro II”

Automatic translation

This mesmerizing work by Marion Kotyba combines soft color palettes with textured elements to create a soulful abstract composition. Golden inclusions permeate the texture, reminiscent of the movement of water. The delicate tones of gray and white create a sense of calm, while grunge patterns add a subtle dynamic. This work is not only a visual experience, but also an invitation to explore the subtle layers and depth of thought hidden within each element.

About the artist
Marion Kotyba

Marion Kotyba, Germany

Marion Kotyba was born on August 16, 1968 in Kulmbach. Artistic training through lecturers and art symposiums. She has had her own studio since 2008 and is also intensively active in child and adult education in the field of art. Freelance artist since 2010. Owner of the ART GALLERY & Studio at Oberhacken 3, Kulmbach since November 2017. The most prominent feature in Marion Kotyba's art is the theme of 'rust and aging' as a stylistic device in abstract acrylic painting. In this context, the artist interprets the interplay of color, light, structures and technical implementation in an artistically impressive power of interpretation that is both new and exciting at the same time. In recent times, observations of the effects of the weather in nature - rusted surfaces, broken structures, glazes and the combination of these - have played an important role. The artist works out her concerns in clearly defined groups of works, primarily in a non-objective manner, in order to offer the viewer of her works enough freedom to let their imagination run wild on an abstract level. The versatile and experimental artist takes the liberty of choosing style, color and technique according to her mood. International and national exhibitions. Awards: Palm ART Award 2016 Certificate of Excellence Gallery representation: Galerie Goossenaerts, Bad Honnef, KUNSTGALERIE MARION KOTYBA Purchases Private collectors from Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and the United States Public purchase Artothek Bayreuth (purchase 2022)
