The flower that blooms on a sunrise in Spring, When the morn slowly breaks as the leaves remain grey. Carved leaves so defined to the stem tight they cling Withholding her bud, not her hue to betray. But the envelope holds as a babe in a sling ‘till the unfurling shroud will let go its Bouquet. Released by the dew at the dawn of the day. Hazed sun hits the embryo, as she recalls. While growing progresses and shards of pink show. The bud that is forcing its way through the shawls with colour no longer a secret to know. Continuing slowly the envelope falls. The bud that continues its shroud to outgrow. Its beauty upon a wild world to bestow.
Currently representative of three local art communities: Farnham Art Society, Winchester Art Club and the Downend Art Society, where I am respected and regularly exhibit. I transfer images of the natural world to paper or canvas, working in various media including. I am inspired by classic and abstract styles and I believe the marriage works. I truly hope that others feel the same when they view the results.
