This painting transports us to a tranquil garden where each magnolia branch reveals its own unique beauty. The bends of the branches and rich shades of purple symbolize the bizarre play of fate and nature. Yuliia Kovalska's sensual approach to depicting magnolia blossoms allows the viewer to feel the freshness and renewal inherent in each blooming season. The flowers on the canvas, as if animated, convey the unique melody of nature.
I was born and live in Kyiv. I really love this beautiful ancient city with its unique spiritual creative atmosphere. Probably, it was thanks to this blessed city that I began to seriously study painting and got the opportunity to study painting at the art school of Mother Theodora at the icon painting workshop in the Kiev Pechersk Lavra. Although the foundations of creativity were laid in me as a child by my mother and grandmother, who, by doing various types of homework with me (sewing, knitting and crocheting, bead and cross stitch, wicker weaving and much more), taught me to see and appreciate beauty . These hobbies from childhood and adolescence became the basis of my creative activity, remained with me throughout my life and gave me the opportunity to express my feelings, aspirations and dreams, embodying them in artistic works. After all, any work of art is the embodiment of what the eyes see, the ears hear, the memory stores and the imagination draws. My paintings are my view of the world, as I see it or want to see it. I share this vision of the world with you. In my life and work, I try to be guided by the statement of the great Russian artist Nicholas Roerich: “Awareness of beauty will save the world.” Therefore, I try to transfer my brightest and most vivid impressions and memories onto canvas. I really hope that my works will make this world a better and kinder place.
