This painting by Tetyana Kostenko is a confession of boundless love for Ukrainian culture through the lens of Petrykiv painting. Bright patterns and floral motifs in textiles are intertwined with traditional Ukrainian painting, reproducing not only the beauty of nature, but also the depth of the national genius. Each stroke is a page of history, and each color expresses a deep feeling for the native land.
Tetyana Kostenko lives and works in Ukraine. He is an architect by profession, but has been working as a drawing teacher for many years. The presented works are made in Petrykiv painting, or "Petrykivtsi" - Ukrainian decorative and ornamental folk painting, which is included in UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
