Description of the Artwork “Ikebana”
“Ikebana” is a fusion between the abstract and the semi-figurative, inspired by the traditional Japanese art of flower arranging. The small multicolored flowers in relief on a monochrome background bring a tangible dimension to the work, evoking the delicacy and aesthetics of ikebana. The splashes of green color symbolize life, energy or even movement in the floral arrangement, creating a striking contrast to the more structured shape of the flowers. This combination of organic shapes and abstract lines suggest a harmony between nature and human artistic expression celebrating the beauty of nature and creativity while exploring the aesthetic possibilities of floral art in a contemporary context. Textured and spontaneous work done in acrylic and gouache on 140 lb cold-pressed cellulose paper. A fixative has been applied to ensure good conservation of this signed work. Requires supervision.

Through color I translate my reflections, I silently shout out all the beauties of the world whether past, future or present. I constantly seek to push the limits of my art to resonate with the echo of passing time. The echo of all these forgotten yesterdays and these tomorrows full of promises which are so lovely to tell. Rather than overly defining the meaning of my works, I let the viewer make them their own so that they can in turn create their own story and begin a journey to the land of the imagination.
