This work of bright and shimmering colors which capture the beauty of nature through the use of multiple textures seems to add a tactile dimension to the work, almost inviting the viewer to feel the elements represented. The title itself, “Waiting for Spring,” suggests an expectation, an anticipation of renewal and growth reflected in the semi-figurative elements of the work. The bright colors symbolize the brilliance of life reborn after winter, and the textures evoke the richness, vitality and diversity of nature. -Original work made in successive layers of texture paste, acrylic paint and gouache applied with a brush, spatula and airbrush. This original work on a gallery frame whose sides have been painted black is signed on the front, counter-signed on the back, varnished and ready to hang.
