The cyclamen depicted in the picture is a gift from volunteers at the railway station of the city of Kremenchuk on the night of March 8-9, where I was in transit during the evacuation from Kharkiv at the beginning of the war in Ukraine. For me, this flower is a symbol of hope for a bright future, steadfastness, support and attention of caring people.
My name is Kateryna Salo, I am an interior designer by profession and an artist by heart! ● I was born in the city of Zhovti Vody, but for the past 7 years I studied and lived in the city of Kharkiv. ● I started drawing since childhood, later my parents sent me to an art school, where I began to study drawing, painting, composition... In the last grades of school, I realized that I had to follow the path of creativity, so I chose the direction of design. ● Graduated from KhDADM (Kharkiv Academy of Design and Arts) interior designer by specialty. ● Before the war in Ukraine in Kharkiv, I worked in the field of advertising as a graphic designer, drew illustrations and painted pictures. With the beginning of the war, I lost my job, was forced to move to the city of Zhovti Vody, bought paints, canvases and began to actively paint pictures.
