In this painting, the artist skillfully conveys the deep emotions that are felt during Easter in the conditions of war. The picture is saturated with gloomy, but at the same time realistic tones, reflecting the contrast between the festive mood and the depressing atmosphere of the city. The image of a deserted city emphasizes the feeling of loneliness and loss, in the context of references to ancient, bright Easter celebrations. This canvas is deeply symbolic, clearly conveys the emotional state of the artist and modern realities.
I have been self-taught since childhood. Living in a village where there wasn't even a school, I didn't manage to attend clubs. In high school, when we moved to the city of Zaporizhzhia, I studied Petrykiv painting for two years. After finishing school, I applied to the art college on the island of Khortytsia, but due to financial difficulties, I could not finish my studies. I dreamed of continuing my education in Kyiv, where there was a greater opportunity to find a job and surround myself with a creative environment. But life led me to the army, where I served for almost 5 years. After maternity leave, I decided to take up art and started teaching painting to children in my town. I acquired all the knowledge thanks to my own perseverance and hard work.
