About the artist

Deniz Özdek, who comes from a family of Cretan and Thessaloniki origin, is from Izmir. Deniz Özdek, who was entitled to enter the Painting Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts and the Faculty of Chemistry in 1999, rejected education in Art and embarked on a journey of discovering the Science of Chemistry for the Love of Art. In this process, he took art at the center of his life and worked on drawings by overlapping the essence of matter, the recognizability of art with the bonds and interactions between atoms. has made it into the routine of his daily life. The artist, who is a master chemist, educator and writer and also gives Spanish language education, questions the contribution of each formation to reality in his works, based on the contribution of two or more structures that make up an organic substance to the "Real" structure. He says, "Just as the stability of an element free of its burdens is high, a work of art is the realization of a life chosen to purify itself from its burdens." Deniz Özdek, who works in acrylic on canvas, reflects his form and shaping works with different materials, starting with investigative lines and searching for the transition from amorphous to form in the most primitive ways, with an independent technique and a journey back to the beginning in the concept of art. Most of the works of Deniz Özdek, who overlaps his works with music and tells stories, are the form of a song in his own world, and he continues it at the Art Workshop "Atölye Havana" in Kuşadası, which he calls his second home.
