Freedom is like a wind that cannot be captured. It is more touching at Mother natures lap.
I was brought up in Ragama, a village with a rural landscape in Sri Lanka. The scenic beauty of the environment with streams, lakes, and infinity paddy fields influenced her towards painting from my early years of life. As a young painter, I started painting landscapes, and natural habitat which are admired by many. The awards and appreciation she received during the journey of painting helped me to establish myself as a professional painter. “I can’t pass a day without painting. It gives me inner peace and satisfaction”. and become a part of my daily life. I was a keen enthusiastic of ancient painting of Sri Lanka. Therefore to further my knowledge of painting and ancient traditions, I enrolled into the National Craft Council of Traditional Art in Sri Lanka. The course helped me to present my paintings with traditional touch with a unique blend. This uniqueness has captured the hearts of many art lovers. I was also involved in research studies of traditional painting techniques of ancient Sri Lanka & travels across the country to visit various historical locations to get first-hand information and to admire the actual beauty.
