Born into a rich family, his parents were fr om England. The artist's father was involved in politics and was a successful entrepreneur, the owner of a plant for the production of building materials. The young man was fond of painting and musical creativity. The first drawing lessons Pigeon received from an amateur neighbor who taught him landscape painting. Subsequently, he graduated from Cornell University, wh ere he was already called a talented illustrator. He then worked in New York as a professional illustrator.
