Kate Dannyk, Ukraine

I was born in the family of scientists, so during the earliest years, I was surrounded by painters, sculptures, poets, etc. That's why pure love to art was following me since the earliest years. But being interested in worthy education, I had been concentrated in other things during an adult period of life. Only in 2013 I've realized that during the process of painting I feel myself like a real human being with a purpose of life and the obsessive wish to create. Then were going complicated times of studying of drawing. But even during that times I've contrived to take part in art exhibitions. The process of my learning was non typical. It included a lot of practice and the deep exploration of history of primitive, medieval and new age art. The learning process was concentrated not only in history, but the biggest part were dedicated to life and professional aspects of world famous painters biography. Nowadays, I'm a PhD in cultural studies (the science, which is directly related to my art profession) and continue developing my art carrier. During 2013-2019, nearly half of my artworks were traveling around Ukraine during festivals and exhibitions, which were dedicated to movies of Sergiy Parajanov. Recently, I’ve taken part in one personal (2017 Mariupol) and two collective exhibitions (2018, 2019 Kyiv). After a long obsession with portrait art, I’ve decided to “feel” the sea. Now I’m a seascapes artist with a lot of interesting ideas.
