Amber hills…sounds like an advertisement, as if I am about to sell you a nice holiday in the hills of amber. Well, that is what surrounds me and fills my eyes. Heather in all the varieties, melliferous, nectariferous heather. Bees adore it, and so do I. Am I some kind of a giant bee foraging flowers, sucking up the essence and trying to turn it into a stunning visual potion for my public? Oh, if I ever could be as successful as bees. Tomislav Ivanišin was born in Dubrovnik in 1942. He is actively engaged in painting and is a member of the Dubrovnik Croatian Association of Visual Artists. He has exhibited at numerous exhibitions, solo and collective, in Croatia. He lives and works in Dubrovnik and at Drače, Pelješac Peninsula.
