I met this blooming group of white and violet mallows while walking to a meadow where I was painting some daisies and dandelions. Well, these robust trumpet shaped mallow flowers, with thistle guard in front and dark green holm oaks in the distance told me, here is the entrance to a fairy kingdom. So, daisies had to wait, and I had to sit and paint. Location - a country lane nearby Saint Stephen's church, Janjina, Peljesac peninsula July 2016, Oil on hardboard, 70 x 50 cm
