Description of the Artwork “Sun and Moon”
Sun and Moon is picturing a Sufi who is Sama dancing with his hands up to the sky with words of a poem by famous poet Rumi. “Sama” meaning “the Universe” is a dance that allows the dancer to become focus in the inner spiritual world of himself/herself and as the result become able to connect with the universe though Sama’s unique choreography moves. The main move of Sama is a continues turn of the dancer/worshiper. The dancer would turns around a circle and also turns around himself/herself until feels the meditation is happening. This is an act of improvisation and it continues until she feels her presence with God and she sees herself as part of the network of the Universe.

Niloofar Aryan is an artist who started her artistic career 9 years ago , since 2009. she studied bachelor of art in industrial design in 2004, then she continued studying different fields of art after graduation , sculpturing , painting , patina and faux finishes and decorating and interior designs are fields she has studied and worked on ever since. Creating images and paintings was her favorite thing to do , she always challenges herself with different media to create high relief paintings and texture paintings.
