Picture: canvas, acrylic. Camellia (Latin Camellia) is an evergreen plant of the Tea family (Theaceae). The most famous species is Camellia sinensis (Chinese camellia, or tea, or tea bush), from the leaves of which raw materials are obtained for making tea. Many types of camellias are used in ornamental gardening. Camellia adorned herself with Marguerite Gaultier, the heroine of the novel by Alexandre Dumas's son "The Lady of the Camellias".
