Ewa Dura - an artist with a comprehensive range of interests. She draws on a rich tapestry of cultural and traditional sources for her artistic inspiration, including myths and local folklore. She graduated with a degree in cultural studies and went on to obtain a doctorate in literary studies. In 2018, she completed her postgraduate studies at the Academy of Fine Arts. She is an expert at drawing and painting using classical techniques. She also experiments with small sculptural forms. She boldly uses vibrant, strong, even metallic colours, ornamentation and decorativeness to emphatically highlight selected elements, creating her artistic masterpieces. She also appreciates contrast, particularly minimalism in black and white, where colour appears sporadically as a counterpoint. She has produced both theoretical works and small poetic forms. She has also addressed the theme of imaginative space in her theoretical and scientific works. In her artistic journeys, she confidently pursues solutions in unlimited creative imagination and imaginary space. She is an individual and a bit mysterious artist whose cultural and literary training and studies are translated into atmospheric paintings and illustrations. Visit the art gallery of Ewa Dura!
