This captivating work by Reinier García, made in 2010, encapsulates the struggle between truth and lies in the modern world. With a masterful use of chiaroscuro and mixed techniques, the artist presents a surreal portrait that reveals textures and symbolism. The cardboard burns and tiny crosses highlight hypocrisy and human tragedies, creating a powerful visual narrative. The work invites the viewer to reflect on manipulation and distortion where lies, according to the author, are the greatest current dictatorship that commits physical and conceptual massacres disguised with illusions where the positive is negative or vice versa.
