Walid Kammoush is a Syrian visual artist, born in Aleppo in 1948 He studied at the Fine Arts Center in Syria, Aleppo, from 1973-1975 He studied at the College of Fine Arts in Damascus in the five-year system, majoring in decorative design (visual communications and advertising), and graduated from the University of Damascus in 1981 with distinction. His graduation project is the Syrian currency of one thousand liras before its appearance He worked as a teacher at the Fine Arts Center from 1982 to 1995 and from 2006 to 2012. He lectured and studied at the University of Aleppo, Faculty of Fine Arts, from 2006 to 2012, drawing, oil photography, and advertising. He held a solo exhibition in the Bilad Al-Sham Gallery in the Shahbaa Al-Sham Hotel in 2004 on the subject of Sufi Mawlawiyah, and local newspapers wrote about it. Designed the opening advertisement for the Aleppo Festival, Capital of Islamic Culture He designed many television series advertisements (posters), which achieved great success He participated in local artist exhibitions, such as the Spring Exhibition, the Autumn Exhibition, and periodic exhibitions from 1974 until 2011 He holds certificates of appreciation from Syrian official bodies Several Arab newspapers wrote about him, including the Emirati newspaper Al Bayan in Dubai in 2009 and local newspapers in Syria Making wall paintings for several hotels in the Emirates of Sharjah He currently resides in Turkey and has held several joint exhibitions there Currently dedicated to artistic works.
