Description of the Artwork “When the Ukrainian sun rises”
Concept: A series of collages dedicated to the revival of Ukrainian national consciousness during the full-scale invasion of the Moscow Federation in 2022 on the territory of Ukraine. This is the time when we experience the final rejection of the empire and cease to be a victim of Moscow's imperial ambitions. Realized, protected on the battlefield and recorded within the international community, the Ukrainian identity becomes an example of courage, real freedom and new leadership for the whole world. For Ukraine, this is the time of a new mentality, a sense of a grand future and the ability to defend its borders and national interests. This is the time when the Ukrainian sun rises as a symbol of the new world order and the formation of a new civilization. This series was presented at the exhibition of Ukrainian artists "One day after" at the Imagine Point gallery, Kyiv, Ukraine, 2022.
Ganna Denisenko, Ukraine
Народила у 1987 році у Дніпрі, Україна. У 2017 році закінчила навчальний курс у Вільнюській академії мистецтв у галузі живопису та архітектури (Вільнюс, Литва). У 2019 році закінчив Школу сучасного мистецтва при Інституті проблем сучасного мистецтва Академії мистецтв України під кураторством Вікторії Бурлаки (Київ, Україна). У 2020-2021 роках навчалася у школі Композиції Валентина Чорного (Київ, Україна). Останні кілька років жила і працювала у Литві та Португалії. З 2020 року живе і працює у Києві, Україна. Під час російського вторгнення в Україну залишилася працювати у Києві, щоб підтримати спротив на культурному та волонтерському фронтах. Від художниці Для мене мова мистецтва – це спосіб більш образно і метафорично висловити свої почуття і думки про навколишню дійсність. Мені не цікаво відображати фізичну реальність такою, якою вона є, мені цікаво її інтерпретувати, знаходити нові сенси та форми. Мені цікаво в своїх роботах показувати суть речей. Світ мого мистецтва суб’єктивний, тому, сподіваюся, він буде цікавий глядачеві. Працюю у техніках живопису, графіки, колажу та цифрового мистецтва.
