In this fascinating work, Andrea Lange-Weihs captures the essence of nature through an abstract lens. The use of marble dust and metal foil creates a varied texture that draws the viewer into the depth of the scene. The grunge and vintage style, combined with dirty-looking surfaces, creates a feeling of bygone times and hidden stories. With a touch of playfulness, similar to a jigsaw puzzle, the painting conveys a feeling of discovery and exploration. This composition is not just a landscape, but a deep symbol of the diversity of home.
Andrea Lange-Weihs, alternative practitioner (psychotherapy) & certified psychological counselor (VFP), art therapist, born in 1968, runs the art & writing studio in Blomberg. The art studio is also Andrea's practice, where she works with her clients. To balance things out, she loves to let the colors flow playfully. She herself doesn't want to commit to her style. Together, it's always about emotions and she likes to use different materials. As a lecturer in schools, adult education centers & various institutes, she accompanies art groups on a wide range of topics, such as sustainability, anti-discrimination, digital & photographic art, emotions create colors.
