The multi layered painting on paper illustrates a subtle atmospheric shifts of color. The mixture of geometric and organic patterns create a complex balance of visual experience.
I acknowledge the complexity of the constantly changing nature of people and things. Everything exists in time and space and is governed by the laws of causality. We, a part of the interdependent being of the whole, are but fluctuating contextual reactions to the ever-shifting world. As temporal and fluid as we are, I believe every state of a being or an event exists as a complete entirety. I aim to capture glimpses of a moment the way they are and celebrate it. My goal is to show the interconnected systems and accept everything as it is. Defining a person or an event requires countless layers in complex interactions and relations with each other. I borrow this multilayerness in my works. The layers that compose my paintings contain various mixed traits, including both geometric shapes and irregular forms, straight lines, and wiggly blobs, and a spectrum of hues from highly saturated to muted grays to extremes. Each layer reacts to the previous ones, covering parts of it while revealing others. Each layer represents one moment in the temporal flow, and together they tell the whole story of one captured moment in the constantly changing time and space. My work is executed in a slow, repetitive, and careful manner, aiming to deliver my perspective of the world: placid yet dynamic.
