Description of the Artwork “Lost in space”

Imagine an abstracted computer game artwork that fuses color, form, and energy to capture the spirit of digital play. The canvas is alive with bold, dynamic colors—electric blues and vibrant purples dance alongside neon greens and bright yellows, creating a vivid backdrop reminiscent of a high-energy gaming environment. Geometric shapes dominate the composition, with angular triangles and smooth circles layered and interspersed. The pixelation effect adds texture, creating a sense of nostalgia for retro gaming while infusing the piece with a modern twist. Glitch effects ripple through the artwork, with jagged lines and distorted sections that suggest movement and the thrill of action. Holographic accents shimmer in the light, giving the illusion of depth and drawing the viewer deeper into the piece, as if they are navigating through a digital landscape. The overall composition pulsates with energy, capturing the excitement and immersion of the gaming experience

About the artist

michael Bertoli, Australia

I’m a Melbourne based Digital Abstract Artist with a background in graphic design. My creative process is a blend of spontaneity and meticulous planning. I often start with a basic concept or emotion thatI want to convey, but I let the digital tools guide me, allowing for unexpected and organic developments. Using software like Adobe Photoshop. I manipulate shapes, colors, and textures to build layers of meaning and visual intrigue. Color plays a pivotal role in my work. I am drawn to bold, contrasting hues that evoke strong emotional responses. The interplay of light and shadow, the rhythm of repeating patterns, and the harmony of chaotic elements all find their place in my compositions. I often experiment with glitch art techniques and fractal patterns to create pieces that challenge the viewer’s perception and invite them to find their own interpretations. My work is heavily influenced by the digital age, where the fusion of human creativity and machine precision opens up new realms of artistic expression. I am inspired by the works of pioneers like Jackson Pollock, but I strive to push beyond their boundaries by leveraging the capabilities of modern technology. Exhibiting my art both online and in physical galleries has allowed me to connect with a diverse audience. I believe that digital art democratizes access to creativity, enabling anyone with a device to explore and appreciate art in new and meaningful ways. Through my work, I aim to spark conversations about the intersection of technology and human experience, and how our increasingly digital world can still be a deeply personal and emotive space. In essence, my art is a reflection of the ever-evolving digital landscape. It’s a celebration of innovation, a dialogue between the familiar and the futuristic, and an exploration of the myriad ways technology can enhance and transform artistic expression. https://www.instagram.com/mike.bertoli.752.
