Description of the Artwork “Harbour”
My paintings in graphic style are made with acrylic on canvas. In them, I combined the dynamism of abstract expressionism, the elegance of graphic techniques and the classic themes of traditional painting, still life and landscape. Thanks to this combination, the paintings convey the spirit of modern painting, but do not seek to shock the viewer. Modern graphic paintings are able to decorate any modern interior and show the high artistic taste of its owner.
Valerij Sosna, Ukraine
Valerij Sosna was born and lives in the Dnipro. He made a decision to become a professional artist at a rather mature age, when he was serving in the army. For several years he worked in the art studio of Mikhail Pushnoj. Then he lived and worked for three years in Moscow studio of the artist Fyodor Reshetnikov, where he absorbed the energetics of his paintings, as well as paintings by Vrubel, Serov, Repin. After several years of study he entered the Kiev State Art Institute. Graduation from the university coincided with the first solo exhibition in the capital. Since then and to this day the artist continues to search in the most different genres of painting and trends in the visual arts.
