Description of the Artwork “Gaspar's Holidays”

I look at the world through the eyes of my child, imagining what images he would see around during his first holidays in sunny Armenia. Italian made canvas stretched on a solid wood of tropical seiba. The tree is distinguished by its low weight and beautiful pattern.

About the artist

I was born in unique and beautiful place - Armenia, Yerevan. That city filled with art and extraordinary people who creatively influenced on me. When I was 12 we moved to Russia, Moscow and since that period I live in this huge, strange and unique city. I own Hi-Fi electronics services and repair company. I write books, have filmed short movies, I love traveling, playing piano and russian theatre. My passion is classical and jazz music. I'm married, have a son. I love to create my artworks mostly in abstract, contemporary style. Some works are narrative inspired with a focus of storytelling as a visual and provocative expression. I use high quality Italian canvas, oil paints of leading brands. My small and middle size paintings are stretched on solid peaces of seiba (super light tropical wood with a beautiful pattern.) Large paintings are based on custom made stretchers with wooden tablet (4 mm) on a surface. It protects paintings from any impact which may damage the canvas. Painting creation is not just a way to tell people about myself, but also a secret which helps find soulmates among viewers through reactions and emotions (caused by my paintings), even if they live on the other side of our planet. I want to see myself as a successful artist who has left behind a legacy and I want to remain honest with myself, the audience and art. Painting is my way to immortality...and immortality is an additional way to be in love with myself and thre rest of the world. I eager to create art during my whole life. I have written several novels, I have filmed several short movies and I do love that process, but only painting helps me fully express myself and control the creation process from the beginning till the signing.
