The peony flower amazes with its beauty. There are many symbolic meanings of this flower. There is a legend saying that peony is believed to be named after Paeon, the Greek physician of the gods. According to the legend, Paeon was a student of Aesculapius, the god of medicine. When Paeon used a peony root to heal Pluto — the first time this was tried — Aesculapius became jealous of his talents and tried to kill him. To save Paeon (and show compassion to him), Pluto transformed him into a peony, because he knew it was a flower that people would admire and praise. Thus, one of the peony's meaning is compassion.
Painting is somewhat inner search for answers on a certain topic. I see art as a tool to elaborate emotions and heal human matters. My paintings are abstracts, floral and landscapes depicting my inner flow. My paintings are influenced by the surroundings, my inner emotions and states as well as my travels.I believe that art is an outer expression of artist innermost experience. My main concept is to transmit my experience in the most understanding and accepting way. I paint with the help of oil paints on canvas. Oil paint is my favourite medium, with its character and peculiarities. I like the softness and at the same time hardness of the textures they can create. This gives an additional freedom in my expression. I love painting abstract, as well as figurative art and landscapes. In my opinion every theme opens a door to a part of artist soul.
