Description of the Artwork “Bridge and Yachts”
The painting is made in acrylic on canvas. The inspiration for a series of these paintings are abstract expressionism and paintings of color field of Mark Rothko's. In my paintings, I rethought these areas of painting, combining them with the landscape and a special technique of painting. The rich colors of acrylic play in bright colors and convey the mood, and subtle strokes that depict the landscape, make you look and guess about the plot. Modern painting is able to decorate any interior and show the high artistic taste of its owner.
Valerij Sosna, Ukraine
Valerij Sosna was born and lives in the Dnipro. He made a decision to become a professional artist at a rather mature age, when he was serving in the army. For several years he worked in the art studio of Mikhail Pushnoj. Then he lived and worked for three years in Moscow studio of the artist Fyodor Reshetnikov, where he absorbed the energetics of his paintings, as well as paintings by Vrubel, Serov, Repin. After several years of study he entered the Kiev State Art Institute. Graduation from the university coincided with the first solo exhibition in the capital. Since then and to this day the artist continues to search in the most different genres of painting and trends in the visual arts.
