“In my works, images taken from classical art can be traced, as a symbol of perfection, to which we all strive. Each person has his own idea of the standard that he would like to achieve. It concerns aesthetics, cultural perception, and lifestyle: reflection in the mirror, additional zeros in the account, achievements, solving global or personal problems. This ideal is often something incomprehensible, unattainable, it is either the future or the past, we are afraid of losing it with trepidation, it deprives us of calmness and confidence. Having comprehended the ideal and the perfect, there is a chance of getting disappointed, realizing that the result did not live up to expectations, did not give the cherished happiness. People are often faced with a dilemma: to become truly happy, or to meet standards that do not respond to their true needs. Live here and now or chase the goal? " In creating her works, the artist resorts to contradictory pictorial techniques to enhance the emotional effect when reading the main message - to the depicted classical images, observing academic norms in composition and painting technique, the artist adds notes of her personal style, showing her author's "character". Thus, the artist seems to be "correcting" in her own manner these incomprehensible, desired by all, but sometimes just useless and imposed by society, symbols of a beautiful person and a perfect world.
