The limited edition of etchings (engravings) from Roman Pisarev a professional illustrator, the famous artist of London and Petersburg. Petersburg Organ-Grinder, as spirit of the street music of the city XIX century. “Poorly dressed, in any weather, the Petersburg organ-grinder earns a penny. He begin with some beast in the box (or without box) and show the tricks with it for money. Having saved up money in the next two or three years, he buy a barrel organ. Also people loved the show of organ-grinders because they often joked about the government. When a organ-grinder goes to the audience for money (tip) crowd quickly dispersed.” (from the petersburg journal of 1854). The organ-grinder was a symbol of city market places of 19th century. Currently, in honor of their labor was founded the monument "The Organ-grinder with the Dog", which is located on the "flea market", one of the old markets of Petersburg.
