About the artist

Anatolii Neporozhnii(May 30, 1937 - October 04, 2003), a Ukrainian artist, a sculptor. Anatolii Neporozhnii was born on May 30, 1937 in Kuliabivka village, Pereiaslav-Khmelnytskyi district, Kyiv region. In 1952 he entered the Kyiv College of Applied Arts, which graduated with honors in 1957. In 1963 he graduated fr om Kyiv State Art Institute, department of sculpture. Teaching staff: Borodai V.Z., Makohon I.V., Vronskyi M.V., Lysenko M.H. Since 1964 - a participant in republican, All-Union art exhibitions. He distinguished himself in small plastic arts, medallic art, easel composition, portrait, and in monumental sculptures. He was one of the first in Ukraine who mastered the technique of minting. A member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1979. 1991-1997 - a Chairman of the Vinnytsia Regional Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Anatolii Nepozhozhnii is an author of numerous monuments and memorial signs decorating Vinnytsa, Vinnytsa region and other regions of Ukraine. A participant of sculptural open-air painting in Busha village (Vinnytsia region) and Vinnytsia city. At the beginning of the 1990s, he was actively engaged in the graphic arts. Since 1997, a permanent participant of the open-air paintings held in Nemiriv city, Vinnytsia region. He worked mainly in the pastel technique. Personal exhibitions: 1997 - Vinnytsia, exhibition hall of Vinnytsia Regional Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. 1998 - Vinnytsia, Museum of the Department of Cultural Studies of Vinnytsia National Technical University. 1999 - Vinnytsia, Vinnytsia State Regional Universal Scientific Library named after Timiriaziev. 1999 - Kyiv(together with the painters V.Rybachuk and T.Mostytska). 2001 - Vinnytsia, Vinnytsia Regional Museum of Art. In view of a significant creative input to the artistic treasury of Ukraine, Nepogozhnii A.K. was nominated for the title of the "Honored Artist of Ukraine”. But sudden death did not allow him to receive this honorary award. The artist died at the age of 66 years on October 4, 2003 in Vinnytsia city. Numerous sculptor's works, graphics of A.K. Neporozhnii is in the ownership of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, is kept in the National Museums of Art, the Vinnytsia Regional Museum, the Gallery of the Sanatorium "Avangard" (Nemyriv city), as well as in private collections of Ukraine, Poland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Russia, Germany, Australia and New Zealand. After the artist's death, four exhibitions were devoted to the artist's memory, wh ere his sculptural works, photos of monumental and medallic art works, minting, as well as numerous graphic works, still life paintings and landscapes were exhibited. 2003 - Vinnytsia, Exhibition Hall of Vinnytsia Regional Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. 2004 - Vinnytsia, Exhibition Hall of Vinnytsia Regional Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. 2006 - Vinnytsia, Museum of the Department of Cultural Studies, Vinnytsia National Technical University. 2013 - Vinnytsia, Exhibition Hall of Vinnytsia Regional Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
