Creating this piece was a blissful release of emotion for me. Letting out all insecurities and trusting in the present moment to allow the painting to evolve. I wanted to make a bold impact by painting large brush strokes in vivid colours; colours so rich, you want to eat them! The movement glides you across the canvas, almost as if your eyes are dancing. I truly love this piece and it shows in the final result; the inspiration from the euphoria experienced while creating it. My name is Alexandra Romano, I am an artist living and working in Toronto, Canada. My passion is creating eye-catching artworks which include bold colour schemes; vibrant abstracts that stand out as a focal point in any space - a conversation piece. I am an abstract artist, who delights in the freedom of abstraction and the ability to explore impressionism and expressionism. Works are frequently inspired by nature, geometric elements and life all around. I work primarily with acrylics and I enjoy experimenting with oils, ink and spray paint too. I rely on a natural, intuitive approach while creating my paintings. I craftily use unorthodox tools and my signature techniques to create texture to give the piece interesting depth and a unique design.
