Abandoned children never fully recover from the trauma caused by being neglected. It is a deadly jealousy toward those with a normal family that follows every single day of their lives.

About the artist

Veronika Kyrychenko is a Ukrainian artist who started her art career recently but spectacularly. She creates abstract paintings that explore human emotions and feelings. Veronika believes that the viewer’s individual perception of her paintings and inner dialogue are very important. Her childhood in a small village near the picturesque Ural Mountains and subsequent life in Ukraine developed in her a subtle perception of natural beauty and diversity. At the same time, growing up in a military family instilled not only discipline but also an awareness of the limitations from which it feels so good to escape. Veronika first turned to art during the difficult period of the USSR’s collapse and the subsequent crisis in Ukraine. As a young single mother trying to survive in that economic chaos, Veronika found an outlet in painting: an opportunity to express her feelings and make the world a little brighter. During this period, it was only possible to paint using cheap, oft-expired materials. Since then, Veronika has developed a great love for aesthetic presentation and the use of professional, high-quality materials. Veronika worked for many years as a biologist. Feeling the desire to help people, in 2004 she also received a psychology diploma, which became an important milestone on the path of her creative development. This education and life experience have made Veronika’s approach to painting fundamental and profound, and the practical experience of working as a psychologist has given her a philosophical view of the world. The use of art therapy techniques, and countless interpersonal interaction studies with an inclination towards art, have had a huge influence on Veronika's style, fully awakening her as an artist. In 2018, she made the bold decision to leave her successful career as a psychologist and university lecturer to devote herself entirely to art. Over three years of vigorous activity, Veronika has created over 400 canvases dedicated to various aspects of human nature. Many are already in private collections around the world. Veronika Kyrychenko's paintings have been showcased at international exhibitions in Madrid and London. The artist also regularly collaborates with galleries in Australia and India. Having walked such a winding and challenging path in her life, Veronika isn't afraid of difficult topics and is ready to share her bright creativity with the whole world.
