Artist Statement Being a contemporary artist opens up possibilities for expression in many different mediums, but I feel most comfortable expressing myself through sculpture and painting. My work as a visual artist presents my fascination with objects, colors, and the chemical mixtures we can obtain with various types of materials. I fell in love with the abstract in my childhood, given my upbringing with my father. I never felt trapped and/or obliged to respect colors or stereotyped shapes. At first it was a game in my father's studio, which became my lifelong pursuit. I did not have a traumatic childhood, on the contrary, mine was inspiring and became my compass! I have always observed the real nature of things, of the objects around me. And so I have always sought new ways of doing things. In my artistic practices I seek to present reflections and tests obtained from the abstractions of nature around me and within me. Inspired by Plato's phrase "try to move the world - the first step will be to move yourself", I believe that my purpose is to move to my inner self, to know myself and to believe that if I advance one centimeter with each artistic practice, I will already be better than yesterday. My works are traces of my search and if I can move forward I will be able to move other people.
