Volodymyr Semchuk

Volodymyr Semchuk "Vladzio" was born in the village of Uhryniv in Ivano Frankivsk region. From early years parents saw in a little boy a great desire to draw and gave him to study to the artist Volodymyr Tereshkun. He was the first to teach the young man the principles of painting. In 2002 Volodymyr entered the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University at the speciality of Fine, Decorative and Aplied Arts of Institute of Arts. All five years his teacher of painting and drawing was Petro Prokopiv. In 2007 he graduated from the Institute of Arts. Then he started to paint churches. From that time Volodymyr practiced in the technique of drawing a realistic portrait and anatomically correct construction of a figure. Working in the churches Volodymyr always wanted to improve himself in painting. Since 2016 he started his creative activity. He participated in regional, all-Ukrainian and international exhibitions. In 2017 he took part in international plein air in Bulgaria. In 2019 Volodymyr Semchuk became a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Realistic, expressive and abstract directions are closely combined in Semchuk's works. He is actively working on his individual style. Vladimir's works are stored in private collections in Ukraine and abroad in many countries. Now the artist lives and works in Ivano-Frankivsk. Ukraine.
